Welcome to the Sustainability Exchange

Welcome to the Sustainability Exchange.

This is a place for people to come together and talk, share and learn about sustainable actions.

This is also a place for the local community to organize itself.

As we move forward into times of uncertaintly, everyone is encouraged to bring new ideas up for discussion to help build a stronger community by working together, sharing knowledge, sharing skills and offering assistance for each other.

This community does not have any specific future goal. It will instead be shaped by the always changing ideas, practices and needs of our local community. Everyone is welcome to contribute in their own way on thier own time.

Check out the Sustainability Exchange Wiki for better idea of what to expect from this community space. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the Wiki as we learn and share together. Topics that are not currently in the Wiki but are related to sustainability can be discussed and added in the future. This wiki is able to work in any modern web browser and is also available for download to be viewed offline.

See the Digital Library and Files page for access to everything available for download, including the Wiki.

A local copy of Wikipedia is also available to be viewed from this site. While it does contain everything on Wikipedia, there is a lot of valuable information about sustainability that can be found there first. Extra research is strongly encouraged so we can provide more accurate and well rounded information for everyone interested.

The seed library is available to anyone interested in growing their own plants or food crops. At the end of a growing season, any extra seeds that have been grown and harvested can be returned to help grow our local inventory and help spread more Ontario grown plants.

This community space will not tolerate any forms of hate, discrimination, intolerance or manipultive behaviours. If you experience any of these issues or are uncertain about a situation, you are encouraged to reach out to me so we can try to resolve any issues as soon as reasonably possible. Contact information can be found here.

Thank you and I hope that you enjoy and find a place in this community.
